Dinton Activity Centre

RCDC’s role on the project was to review an existing design and suggest changes to achieve Net Zero Carbon performance for the building.

Located within Dinton County Park, this new £2.4 million scheme provides new improved, and modern educational and leisure facilities for the community.

We undertook a full energy prediction for the building using our own bespoke TM54 Calculator. The base design was reviewed, then a number of different options were reviewed to determine the impact they had on the energy and associated carbon emissions. Lifecycle cost analysis was also undertaken for the options, with the final selected option offering both Net Zero Carbon performance and a positive financial outcome.

RCDC worked closely with the architects, the modular Contractor REDS10 as well as the Contractors M&E consultant, Delap and Waller.
